Get Ready For BITSAT New Exam Pattern 2022

This year's BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) will have a new testing format in 2022. It is anticipated that the exam will feature a smaller number of questions and a higher portion on Logical Reasoning.

This year, the exam will be offered in two separate sessions. Candidates have the option of taking either or both examinations. Candidates who only applied for Session I now have the option to register for Session II in the future if they so choose.

It has been reduced to 130 questions overall, but the number of Logical Reasoning problems has increased. It's a multiple-choice test, and there are four possible responses to each question, with only one being the correct one. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, whereas each incorrect response carries a penalty of 1 mark. Find out more about the BITSATtest in this article. The BITSAT will be conducted across a number of days, and candidates can select the testing centre, day, and time that work best for them.

What's in store for BITSAT in 2022?

Two sessions of the BITSAT test will be held prior to the start of the academic year.

After appearing in the first session, candidates can apply for the second session as well.

The second round of applications is only open to those who applied for Session 1.

Candidates are not required to take the test in both sessions, but if they do, the higher of the two scores will be considered.

Question count has been trimmed down to 130.

As of today, Logical Reasoning contains 20 questions.

The 12 new questions also cover logical reasoning.

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Logical Reasoning & English comprise four sections of the BITSAT, which will feature a total of 130 questions. Each section has the following number of questions:

Part I

Part II

BITSAT New Pattern 2022: Additional Questions

In addition to the 150 questions, candidates will be given an additional 12 questions in BITSAT 2022. These 12 additional questions will be presented to the applicants who finish the initial test.

But these additional questions need to be tackled inside these 3 hours only. The division of these additional questions is:

Physics: 4 questions

Chemistry: 4 questions

Mathematics/Biology: 4 questions

NOTE: Candidates who choose to answer these 12 extra questions are not allowed to go back to the original exam and make any changes in those 130 answers.

The questions in BITSAT are prepared in a way that a good student will be able to answer 130 questions in 3 hours. The extra questions (a maximum of 12) would give a chance to extremely meritorious candidates to score higher. Any attempt to answer questions by pure guessing of the answers will not likely have any advantage but may reduce the total score, candidates should keep in mind that there are negative markings for inaccurate responses.

It is very important to practice online mock test consistently as BITSAT is all about speed & accuracy. Reach out at info@masterclassspace.com today for BITSAT Test Series by Masterclass Space!
